USBP Debuts at AIA A’22
Last month, USBP made their debut at the AIA (American Institute of Architects) show in Chicago; the largest national show for architects! After being gone for 3 years due to the pandemic, the show was back in full swing and everyone was excited to be there. It was especially exciting to be held in a city like Chicago- known for it’s many iconic and memorable buildings and the city who’s a noted pioneer in the design of today’s skyscrapers. Over 12,000 architects attended the event, including the closing Keynote Speaker and a person who shared a passion to be an architect in their youth, Barack Obama.
At the USBP booth we had a steady flow of traffic throughout the show and met some great architects looking for enhanced security in their next projects whether it be for storm impact, ballistics or blast protection. We also had our USAW 400 Series, a ‘mini’ version of our USAD1000 door, our ticket window and baffle window all on hand for attendees to see.
On a side note, with impeccable timing, our new AIA CEU course, Protecting People and Property: Fortifying Building Safety with Ballistic, Blast, Storm Impact and Forced Entry Solutions, was also approved the day before the show began. We’ll share more information on this new course in our next blog article so stay tuned.
