Specialty Fenestration Group Installs New Elumatec Advanced Machining Center
June 24, 2024: Houston, TX – Specialty Fenestration Group (SFG), parent company of US Bullet Proofing (USBP), a pioneer in high security window and door systems, and Quikserv, an industry leader in secure transaction systems has made a significant investment in another Elumatec 628XL Machining Center. This new addition aims to support growing demand, substantially enhance production efficiencies and capabilities, and improve lead times.
SFG installed the new Elumatec 628XL Machining Center in its Upper Marlboro location, headquarters to US Bullet Proofing. The state-of-the-art equipment offers integrated automation for loading, length cutting, drilling, and machining of metal profiles specifically tailored to the company’s ballistic, blast, forced entry, and storm-rated systems. Previous Elumatec installations at SFG have demonstrated a 50 percent increase in aluminum machining and saw cutting capacity.
